Perks are advantageous abilities (the GURPS equivalent would be advantages)

Regular perks
The most common perks, selected during a level up.
They are classed by level, and may have stats requirements.

Quest perks
Perks obtained as a reward for quests or special actions or interactions with other characters.

Implant perks
These are perks obtained through implants.
The number of implant perks you can receive is equal to your Endurance statistic.

Companion perks
Perks related to a companion and affecting the party as a whole. The perk disappears if the companion is no longer in the party.
